Thank You
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my family, friends, supporters and volunteers for the fantastic assistance and encouragement they have given me over the last few months during the election.
I would also like to thank my constituents who provided financial support, requested lawn signs and those who came out and showed their support at the ballot box.
I am humbled and grateful to all of you.
I think we accomplished a tremendous amount in a very short time and that the efforts of council over the last few years will help position this city for prosperity and a quality of life second to none.
Serving my community in public office was both challenging and rewarding; I am a better person for the experience and wish the same for all those newly elected, and those re-elected to Guelph City Council this term.

HI Mike,
While you were not our Ward councillor ( we are in Ward 1), we were sadden to see that you were not re-elected. We felt that over the last four years that you were an asset to the city and the citizens of Guelph. We wish you all the best in the future.
Cheers

Hey Mike,
I was sorry to see the Ward 4 results on Monday evening. I just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for being available to us over the past four years, and to congratulate you on a job well done.
It’s impossible to know all the factors at play in any election, but from my somewhat-removed vantage point you certainly seem to have served your constituents well and you should be proud of your track record during this term.
I hope you will find a way to remain involved in the municipal scene once the disappointment of this week subsides.
Take care,
Scott

Dear Mike,
My family and I want to thank you for the work you have put into this city’s council for the past four years.
We have appreciated your dedication and the personal touch your brought to the job.
We had several occassions to call on you through your term, looking for guidance or assistance – with Josh’s clean-up parties and most recently with the parking issues near our home. And you always came through. We knew we could count on you to do more than just pay lip service to the needs in this community.
Your voice on council will be missed.
Thank you.

Hi Mike,
It was with disbelief as I watched your loss develop last night. As a resident of Ward 4, I thought you did an excellent job of representing an informed view and balanced approach to community building. You had my family’s vote. We’ll chat before you actually depart but I want to take a moment now to thank you for taking the time to listen to staff of this organization. You challenged what you heard at times, but that’s the role all Councillors should play. Doing so strategically is the key and I had noticed you were developing such skill as the term went on. I hope you will take great pride in what you have contributed to and achieved over the past four years. You will be missed around the horseshoe and in the caucus room.
Best regards,
Derek

Mike, I’m a long-time Ward 4 resident, and have spoken with you on a couple of occasions, over the past few years.
You were great in responding to my safety/garbage/dumping issues that occur on the end of my street.
It’s too bad that more people here didn’t acknowledge your dedication in yesterday’s election.
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for all your hard work, and responsiveness to the residents of this Ward.
We want to wish you all the best in your future endeavours !!
